Are bucks already locked down with does

I saw a guy on another site saying they are 
I’m not seeing many cruising here in the northern fingerlakes NY but isn’t it early for that ?

From what me and my daughter have seen the past few days, I would say they're locked down in 8J

In the last week I only have small bucks on cams. Had a buck bedded with a doe the other morning. It's a weird rut cycle this year. Lunar cycle splits the rut. They are locked down until another week or so and it will happen again at Thanksgiving.

Older bucks seem to be locked down with does in 8P/8R.  I have seen some younger bucks out cruising, but the bigger guys aren't visible (even on camera, overnight, etc.).

Some could be, but my spots I think just a few doe are hot right now.

I'm in 8P also same here. Hope this weekend it changes.

Man I’m not seeing any bucks even on cam.. well maybe on but after hours 

 Very few does too.. I usually always have one in the freezer by now

So today I had my fist chase go by. Small buck chasing then a decent 8 pt came by. This afternoon had another 8 pt cruising and managed to turn him and come in 20 yards. Still no big bucks seen. We had that huge buck taken Thursday but that was just walking in the woods feeding.
