Yeah , you would think that a slug traveling 333 yards wold have done some serious damage . It must have been a remington slug ........... WNYBuckHunter
Im glad the guy is getting charged. If youve seen pics of the area, it was ridiculous that the guy was shooting in that direction. Im pretty sure the guy wasnt hit from a direct shot, I think it was a ricochet. The hunter was in a treestand, so the angles dont really match up for anything else. TH41
Man must have been quite a distance if it didn't penetrate his clothing. Shootin across a road. Not too smart. A shame for both sides.
WNYBuckHunter
He was shooting at a deer in a field before the road. He missed the deer and the round crossed the road and hit the guy shoveling. If you saw pics of the scene, youd see what I am talking about.
First-light
Bullet misses deer, skips off of frozen ground, hits a telephone pole, bounces off a semi, dings crossbar on hockey net in driveway and ends up hitting the old man in the pants, priceless! lol On a serious note I'm sure it skipped off the ground, shouldn't be shooting towards road and houses, glad the guy wasn't hurt. He got the bullet lodged between his skin and his ribs one lucky sob no charges. He was treated and released at he local hospital. He was wearing orange. I guess a ricochet cant distinguish color either. I knew both of the guys as I used to drive their school bus way back. I was happy to hear it was minor.
