NeverSeenNorHeard
My coworker just secured a fox hunting property on the the island. Unfortunately, he has no predator call and my foxpro is upstate and I can't justify buying a new one, or driving up to get it. Is there anyone on here located on the island that wouldn't mind loaning out their predator call for a few days? I can provide collateral as security. Thanks in advance! WNYBuckHunter
Mouth calls are easier than they seem, they are also cheap, small and easy to carry, and not every joe blow uses one. Predators will get used to hearing the same calls, and after a time or two of busting a hunter using one, they will not respond to the same old Fox Pro recording. Pygmy
This brings back memories... Back in the 1960s the owner of the local pool hall/cigar store/ gunshop owned an electronic caller.. It was a Johnny Stewart 45 RPM record player. He would rent it out for $5 per day... I shot a lot of crows over it and killed some foxes with it. It was STATE OF THE ART at that time... In the early 1970s a buddy of mine bought a caller just like it.. We killed hundreds of crows and dozens of foxes with it. I suspect he still has it..He never sells anything..It is probably an antique now, along with the 45 rpm records that go with it..

That is classic! I see some of the equipment my father used back in the day for work and compare it to what I use today. It's night and day! I bet that record player still works! genesee_mohican
I still have an old Johnny Stewart box. It has to weigh close to 15lbs but still works good. I called a lot of fox in with it when I used to go after them.
