Second opinion...

I came across this track in the snow today.  I think it's a monster buck but when I looked closer I started to think it might be a rabbit with an awkward stance.  What do you think?

Personally I think its a rabbit.  But if it is a deer its a dandy .

I let my excitement get the best of me when I first saw them.  I started to think a rabbit later too.  Just too big to be a deer I think.

  It looks like a rabbit on a decent hop.  not slow and not fast but just a decent hop.  Like you though I would hope it was a deer that is going to be standing in your sights this weekend.  If you can't get out this weekend let me know where you are and I will come up and try to get him in my sights.
