Daveboone
The old Seneca Army Depot has a herd numbering in the 100s of white deer- a variant of the white tail (not albino). You can easily see them by the road come dusk. The herd is only about 60 years old, started from a pair of white twins born and protected by the camp commanders order. A few get out every now and then, we even saw one that apparently swam across Seneca Lake, on the western side. (We have seen deer swimming the lake previously, but usually going w-e, apparently escaping dogs).
Doc
Kind of makes you wonder what kinds of weapons they were storing there .... Has anybody checked to see if those white deer glow in the dark?

fasteddie
They are not albino. (note the eyes are brown, not pink). They are a white variant. If you watch the video , about half way through , the researcher said a professor ( knowledgable in albino research ) said Pink eyes are a strong likelihood but not necessary for a deer to be Alnino . They are beautiful animals either way .
