I haven't owned a tv in almost twenty years, and I don't go out of my way to watch it.

I was recently faced with the option of drive home drunk and hungry or stay for dinner and watch women's soccer and spend the night.

They beat Germany, dinner was good, and the bed was comfy.

Oh I know it is, I just couldn't resist a ball joke if ya know what I mean (nudge nudge). I love the fact that it was so widely broadcast internationally.

yeah, like it or hate it, you would think that at the very least there would be more who would show a little bit of pride in what a team that represents their country in such a widely covered / watched event has accomplished.............I think it's great.

It's only pride in your country if you're putting someone else down or bitching and moaning I guess.

They reported 27 million people watched the game in this country....more than would watch NBA Championship Final game...that's a lot of pride for USA
