Home made gun cabinet

Hey guys, i have a winter project ahead of me. I would like to build a home made gun cabinet. Id like to build a 7 - 10 gun cabinet. Id like to put a sheet of glass, plexiglass, or plastic in the front. I would also like to make a drawer on the bottom. Both the cabinet door, and the drawer have to have a lock on them. Here is the problem, im not the greatest carpenter... Im sure i could do it though, but i was wondering if anyone has any blueprints / dimensions?

I didn't think anyone used cabinets like that any more because they are so easy to break into.  They don't provide any security at all.  Perhaps you should be looking to buy a real gun safe?

The problem is i rent and a decent safe to me is pretty heavy, i don't want to lug it up and down stairs for the rest of my "renting" life

I made my own cabinet 2 years ago and i love it it holds 13 guns and my father has a cabinet that holds 6. Ill put up pics of the one i made soon and i can give dimensions if u think it will help.

i made a really nice gun rack for my dad. 3 guns fit on it and theres a bottom self on it. heres the link i just followed it and made it how they did and it came out really nice. i put a nice dark stain on it. Had to tell the school it was a fishing pole holder and they beilved me. the TECH teacher just said if i brought in the wood i could use the tech room when ever i wanted. Tech teachers are always really cool. I know some kids who built stash boxes, not hat im into that kind of thing, but the teacher knew what they were and just let them do it

yeah i hear you. We have cracked out kids running all over my school. I get high off of hunting. That adranaline rush you get when you put the hammer down right on the boiler room is the best high ever. But yeah the tech teacher was pretty cool.

If you want a light cabinet use pine not oak, because oak will make you broke

or you can buy one for around $100 to $150 new.
