A buck rub made be the brows or stickers points.  The bear rubs I have seen are all 5' up or more.

No description, just pics in the first post. So I took from that vagueness, you came upon this find for the first time with snow on the ground. All apologies on my part.

No problem. , never seen the tree before.

And never seen a tree that size marked by a buck, on our farm. In close to 40 years.
