There is the annual January gun show at the Dome Arena in Rochester this weekend

January 8-9, 2011

  Dome Arena-South Entrance

  Saturday: 9am-4pm

  Sunday: 9am-3pm

  Admission: $8.00

  Children under 10 NOT admitted

I hadn't seen it advertised . Thanks , I think ......... The thing I don't like about the dealers at the gun shows is they aren't willing to budge in their prices and they charge more than the stores .

I always get good deals there, you just gotta work them, and it might take a couple of stops back to their table. Ill be there Sunday at some point, I have a couple of things on my list to pick up.

a tip for deals is to go sun afternoon lots of times they won't wanna load everything back up and are more willing to deal from expierience

Been there , done that and it has never worked for me . I wanted an inexpensive 22 for shooting chucks around sheds , barns , etc and had a Marlin M60 in mind . The gun dealers wouldn't budge to less than $135 . I bought that rifle at WalMart for $105 ,

I'm going Saturday morning at some point. Taking the FIL. Don't really need anything huge, but could use a little ammo.

I have to drop my wife off at the airport Sunday so I will probably get there around noon . I googled it and it says the show is open until 4 pm Sunday ......

I pulled the info off of the Dome's website. I am still waiting to hear what time we are going to be there, but I think 10am was being thrown around.

I looked in the paper and it closes Sunday at 3 pm ( not 4 ) .........

The show was pretty mediocre . It was ahlf the size of what it was the last time I was there . It was my youngest son's 1st time there so he enjoyed it .

I think March is the bigger one, Eddie...they use both halls for that one...no great bargains that I saw

It was OK for the small show, not a ton of great deals, but there were a few to be had. I got better prices on what I was looking for after the show at Gander Mountain though lol. The big show is at the end of March.

I didnt get a chance to go but was told it wasnt that good.

The ammo prices were almost downright funny at some of the tables.

I was looking for a taller bipod for my varmint rifle, the only one I saw was $60, and it wasnt a swiveling one. I went to Gander later and got a swiveling bipod brand new for $50.  :

Some of those guys think everything they have is made of gold lol.

I picked up 4 P-38 openers and a small pack .

My youngest son would make a good Mom . He kept telling me not to touch stuff and pointing out the signs .
