Big Accident on I90

Just driving back from my g/f's parents and there is a huge accident about 2 miles east of exit 24. I couldn't see how many cars actually involved, multiple fire trucks, ambulances, and state police cars.

Hate to see things like that.

Daughter passed one on her way home from Ithica to BigFlats...she sees a lot on that road but said this one was pretty bad...

Can't find it in the news. There's on that sounds like it, but the report has the time wrong by and hour and on the wrong side, they have it going west.

If it's the right report and made typing or w/e errors then it left 2 people dead.

As a former driveing instructor, it just amases me how people drive.

Been in Florida a couple weeks and a lot of people around here drive like Richard Petty in his prime. I shudder to think how many accidents there are down here when the old folks show up to ride out the winter down here.

I always wondered if any law enforcement (police) were just assainged to do traffic, and ticket every one that broke that states traffic law. kind of like a drag net . Every one knows of certain towns that you better not speed in, those towns have a reputation, and people pretty much mind there ps adn qs.  I would have to belive things would get better. Only thing , the courts would be pretty full for a while  It may be a way for that area to make some money. Just a thought.

The highway units in the 5 boroughs of NYC are just that.  They are assigned to the parkways and interstates that pass through the 5 boroughs and they enforce all of the VTL.  A lot of them are real hardasses too, they'd write their own mother a ticket.

Do you know if  that helped to keep people from driveing like idots?  driveing defenceof y  means, while every one  else drives like a idot, you cover  your a$$.

Driving defensively should not be confused with driving cautiously, however.  Some, a lot, of the overly cautious drivers on the roads make driving less pleasurable and more dangerous for others on the road.  Sometimes driving defensively requires driving aggressively.  There are a lot of times when people rely on their brakes and its the throttle that would've gotten them out of trouble.
