Fehyd643
So, 40%chance of rain, 20mph winds. I have limited hunting days, so I'm going out anyway. Suggestions? will they be moving at all? Stalk bedding? What's my best strategy?
Carbonelement
just go...rain is great, wind may slow them down but i doubt it during the rut. Biggest deer i have ever seen in NY was in 40 mph winds in the middle of the rut. dogging a doe

deerpassion
Go!! Bring rain gear , I'm going only for the A.M as it's more favorable than later on with the winds , sat this morning in 8G in Alabama swamps vicinity n had 3 doe , a small six , and a nice 8 come through almost shooting the 8 that I called back three times .... All this in 60+ deg's .... That time a year man , get it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
grampy
Right now with the rut kicking in, get out there anytime you can. Doesn't matter what you do. It's 100 percent better than not going and doing nothing! Just get out there!
Steve7
Go. I'm in. More time you spend now the better,
Fehyd643
Rut is definitely on! As I was tracking a shot, I had a doe and a 1.5yr 6 point walk within 5 ft of me and not care! This 6pt's neck was so ruffled that it looked bigger than his body lol.
gjs4
Shot a toad 2 Sunday's ago. Go where the wind is least and use the wind to your advantage for a quieter entry. It will subside action but not shut it down. Most people never hunt thick enough- use this as an excuse to get adjacent to doe bedding or more so secluded fields where a buck will keep a doe away from other bucks while she can still feed.
