To put another spin on this hours logged question.....guys/girls who are single I umderstnad how the hours can add up.....guys/women with families how do you find so much time away from wife/husband, kids, home owner responsibilities??

Its not easy. I have two kids going in three different directions every morning/night. Plan ahead and do all the driving so when youre going to be gone your wife dosent mind. sneak in hunts when you can!

I did 120 hours just in bow last year. I am at 97 hours this year so far. I don't keep track of gun an ml hours but probably puts me at 200+

I work from home and can hunt out my back door before and after work most of the time. I also have another spot 5 minutes away. I have a wife and 2 kids and if I am not running them around, watching games and such I am in the woods. I have not coached in over a year, they are past my level coaching at this point. And my wife new I had an addiction before we got together a long, long time ago!!  And my son well he made his longest sit with me last night and will be old enough to shoot a deer next year.

When the calendar flips to October, the family knows where I'll be till Decembers end.

I keep a bowhunter's log, 110 hours through yesterday, starting on October 3rd.  I've seen 7 Red Foxes, 6 Bucks, 6 Does, and 1 UDO (Unidentified Deer Object) though I think it was a buck the way it was trying to be sneaky.

I hunt private land, though its a small parcel.  I'm 40, and married for 3 years, my wife knew what she was getting into and she knows its important to me.  I try and make a date or two with her and go to church a couple times during October, but once November hits, it really depends on how I'm feeling or whether I was able to connect.  Certainly, bad weather days can impact the time out too.  My daughter is 13, we go together in the ground blind over Columbus Day weekend, but I don't think she wants to take up hunting, she just likes spending time with her dad.  The house will be here when I get back, though I do need to find some energy for a couple chores soon.

Is it better to go to church and think about hunting, or go hunting and think about God?

Hunted 3 days before i shot my first deer this year average 2 hours a day so 6 hours there,

Wind direction and being sick kept me out of the woods most of the season so i hunted another 4 times at about 2 hours before i took my buck, so 8 hours there; so this year was 14 hours 2 deer freezer is full,

Still have gun season to go, All this hunting is wearing me out, :)
