Geeze.. My Wife and myself have been eating these for quite a while. Anyone else notice a difference in taste? I realize they have expanded as far south as Fla.. After being sold to OIN and the Coach, it seems like things have changed! These are not the Dogs that we have loved. Just me and the little woman, or has anyone else tasted a not so good as it used to be. Batch ex Dec 23rd. Tasted like crap.

I should say that we got em at a Price Chopper.  Not flamin, just the facts.

I eat them quite regularly...probably once a week, actually tonight for dinner! I have to say I haven't noticed any change. I got weaned on them when I lived in Liverpool and my brother in law worked at Heids. All I had to do was show up at the back door and he would have a box of em (and usually a cold beer) for me. Livin it up at 15!

My guess is you just had a bad batch...maybe got warm, etc. I think they would probably want to know about it. They are very quality oriented.

Nothin like a good dog, get yourself some Karl Ehmer German dogs. They snap when you bite into them, taste great and arnt over salty. I've been eating them for decades....

Hofmann or thumans for me ,they make a salens taste like lips and you know the rest.

Had some Hofmann's over the summer and they seemed as good as ever. Wouldn't be surprised if, since now they're big business, they change the recipe or go to a different ingredient maker, to save money.
