NYS 5 year renewal pistol permit ?!

I purchased a springfield xds .45 in march (2014) and i had to renew mine as well before i could get it amended.. the renewal process took 4 weeks,(another nics check) until i could amend the gun.

1) A pilot of the re-certification process will begin in January of 2015.

2) The Pilot Counties will be Albany, Schenectady and Fulton.

3) 500 invitations to re-certify will be sent out to each of the pilot counties.

 

I guess my question would be has anyone from the three counties listed for the PILOT programed been contacted to go through the process??

. As far as I know only 4 people responded. It was voluntary
