Oregon Situation

Recommended Posts

Leftists only like the government when they feel it's on their side, acting like a big brother backing up their juvenile tantrums.  They hated it under Nixon and Reagan.

Are you kidding me?  Please tell me you at least feel the same about Right Wingers as well since there is a board full of them here and over at NYFirearms that whine constantly about Obama and liberal agendas.

I think its fair that any party is not going to be truly happy if the government is run by an opposition party and that is because many of the more extreme of their ilk (left or right) focus more on the fringe or extreme side of their party specific issues.  It just happens that this decade the focus seems to be on guns.  In the last several decades we have drugs, religion, "family values" etc in the same hot seat as guns are now.

Its just silly to say only Leftists don't like government when they feel it's not on their side.  Rightists feel the same way.

Hey if she chooses to allow her husband to screw around with other woman all I can say is I wish my wife was as accepting

Nice of you to ignore Bills rapes. But again, this why your sort loves Islam and the rape of Europe's women. Your all perverts cut from the same cloth.

The Right never likes the government.  It considers it a necessary evil that should be as minimal as possible.  The right seeks Liberty from the government.

From the link I posted, which you should read for a complete answer to your question.

"Liberals are simply socialists. Many want to avoid the stigma of the that word, but we shouldn’t flatter them by placing them in the company of anything having to do with “liberty.” The truth is that everything they want requires the state to get into people’s business. These police state progressives always want more regulation and state involvement, and more regulation will always demand more enforcement."

Oh you are just so correct its almost funny.  I am not disagreeing with your position on the liberal agenda wanting laws and structure, but I would hardly say the conservatives don't want government and think of it only as a necessary evil.  There are simply too many laws and actions provided by the conservatives that contradict that very statement.  I understand the difference between the foundations of both parties but its simply turning into a pissing contest between the two big guys on the block.

Thankfully I'm a registered Independent.

Sportsmen Call for Patience, Law and Order on Public Lands in Oregon
Mule deer malhuerMISSOULA, Mont. - The sportsmen's group Backcountry Hunters & Anglers urged cool, patient heads to prevail in the extremists' occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, valuable public lands fish and wildlife habitat located in Oregon.

"National wildlife refuges like Malheur are a treasure shared by all Americans," stated BHA President and CEO Land Tawney. "The actions being perpetrated by extremists in Oregon are the misguided actions of a fringe element - and should be condemned by sportsmen and all citizens in the strongest terms."

Oregon sportsmen were quick to decry the extremists' actions. "As sportsmen and conservationists, we urge the occupiers to end this fool's errand," said Brian Jennings, BHA's Oregon outreach coordinator, "and we urge the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to keep their employees safe, be patient and thoroughly enforce the law."

The loosely organized group of extremists initiated an occupation of the headquarters of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, near Burns, Oregon, over the weekend. They are led by out-of-state radicals including Ammon Bundy, son of anti-government extremist Cliven Bundy of Nevada

"The Malheur National Wildlife Refuge is a popular hunting area for waterfowl and upland gamebirds," stated Tawney. "It is one unit in a system of millions of acres of public lands on which American families depend for access to and opportunity in the great outdoors.

Tawney concluded: "In 2015, thousands of hunters and anglers gathered at state capitols across the West with a single, unified message: Keep public lands in public hands. This will remain our rallying cry in 2016. BHA remains dedicated to protecting those lands from abuse and keeping them in the hands of their owners, the American people."

Papist show me one time where I ever posted anything that would lead you to say that I love Islam

Here ya go:

http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/30777-swedes-are-preparing-demand-for-firearms-licenses-is-increasing/?p=434372

As George Bush said. If you 'aint with us, your against us. This has never been more true in terms of the global Jihad. Your tacit support for Islam and it's acts of savagery here and in Europe is no less odious than if you were sending them cash money.

Another example of your belligerent  refusal to condemn Jihad:

I thought it was the Democratic controlled House under Bush that approved the bailouts after the Democratically controlled Barney Frank law forced banks to make bad loans for housing.

The Patriot Act under Bush was to track terrorists and prevent another 9/11.  Obama took it and turned it on everyone but terrorists.

That's the difference between the two.  Necessary evil vs plain old evil.

Just as an aside...... I find it hilarious this thread has not been moved to the political forum.   :taunt:

Another aside, a week later and 7 full pages of political discourse, it's funnier than ever.

Really should make everyone wonder how any thread gets banished to the pol forum.  I have to assume someone has to make a complaint to the mods and throw a hissy fit to make it happen.

There is nothing to clarify. I have never once posted anything leading your as#hole buddy to claim I support what he claims I support.

But you have challenged those who condemn it.  That's quasi support.  It's the type of support put forth by people who refuse to take a stand.  Safety in ambiguity.  Clarification takes guts.
