TenXTimmy
My dad and I have been experimenting with videos instead of pictures this past fall and were very happy with the results! I hope you enjoy the video and to my knowledge everything survived the season. We hope to see this buck next fall for sure. https://youtu.be/mrAflVxTCWU
RoadKill44
Wow. Nice job. I haven't done many Trail cam videos but I have some software I could recommend called Adobe Premiere Elements 13. I think it was about $60. With that software you can cut and splice originals to maintain clarity and add music. You have the editing talent but the video taken from a screen display was noticeable. I haven't placed anything on U-tube either so you're already ahead of me there. Again great job.
TenXTimmy
Thanks for the advice- yes I did use my phone to record the tv. My computer is shot so my phone has been my computer for the past year. I will certainly look into that software when I get a new computer. Thanks again-
Cabin Fever
Very cool! That buck caused some destruction! LOL I love scrape videos! Once the scrapes start popping up, pretty much all my cams get moved to the most active scrapes!

nyslowhand
Cool! Not a big fan of your background music..just kidding! Video is the way to go with trail cams, IF your have the space to store them & replacing batteries more often doesn't bother ($$) you. Be surprised what you miss on a cam set for photos that you capture on video! Better yet, if you have a smartphone than you can X'fer those videos to & share with hunting friends. TenXTimmy
I was going to say how could any one not like the lonesome dove sound track lol! You would be surprised how much battery life I get from this Primos camera! I only have it on 15 sec clips but you can take a lot of videos with that setting on high quality- these look bad because I taped it off the tv. I would really recommend this camera! You're right a picture misses so much!
genesee_mohican
I set my Browning Dark Opps to video recently. It's amazing to see how much more a trail cam can capture with a one minute clip. The downside is trying to share the large file. Mine were 350Mb in size.

TenXTimmy
We like to have a very short time between triggers so that if a buck decides to work the scrape he will continue to trigger short video clips. We had the same buck get about 10 20 second videos of him working that scrape. That way if he walks bye and doesn't work the scrape you won't have a lot of wasted footage. Just a thought.
