Hi everyone my name is chris.  I have never been hunting before but plan to start this fall.  I have shot throughout my whole life between guns and bow.  I'm not sure where I will be hunting but I just picked up a brand new bow fairly cheap and I love it.  I haven't shot a bow in like 4 years but my first shots this past weekend were dead on. I am just looking for some advice that will help me out come hunting season and recommendations on what is the best clothing for going out during the season.  Don't really want to spend a fortune my first year.  thanks for the help in advance.

First off go out and buy a lot of patience! Second wear clothes that are comfortable and suited for temps and precipitation. Practice in these clothes when shooting especially the jacket you will be wearing. Lastly have fun, It's mostly a waiting game but if you put in your time scouting you could shorten the wait! GL

I found that an oversize cover all and maybe a hooded sweat jacket will get you through most of the season. You can layer under it if it's colder or less layers on warm says, can pick up both under 60 bucks on sale, camo pattern doesn't seem to matter to the deer, does to us, we want to. Look good, check out some army surplus stores or look for sales after turkey season.

Welcome aboard!  This is a great time to get some clothes, check any hunting store in your area for discounted items.  Layering is best for cold temps, get a light weight parker and pants for early season and a larger set to go over your layers for colder days. Some good socks, gloves and boots are the only other thing you will need to start.   All other clothes you can get as you progress in your hunting.

Great guys and girls here don't be afraid to start a new post if you have more questions.  WNY has some of the best deer hunting in NY, hope to see your success later this season with one of those brutes!
