nyantler
I too am an X smoker,But I do enjoy a cigar.I know this is smoking,But I smoke in my car or in my garage.Or on the deck at night.Anyway I think this is crazy. And I hate to think whts next. I could never stand the smell of a cigar and wondered how folks could smoke them . To me , it smelled like the Land Fill was on fire . Then it wasn't a good cigar they were smoking..lol
nyantler
They already made that mistake with alcohol, I highly doubt they will do that again. Actually, they learned what they did wrong with prohibition. they went for a total ban. This time they will allow possession and consumption, but only under set conditions. And those conditions will be you have to drink it at home and stay home when you do! : The great part is politicians will dicuss the new laws over drinks at a local watering hole
Mr VJP
It's OK for them though, because they have a driver on the taxpayer's payroll. >

wztirem
Since only 30% of all registered voters in NY voted this past election, we should blame them for electing these individuals.
nyantler
we need to make it so that one doesn't have to be wealthy to even run... we are not getting the best minds or people that have the public in their best interest... just wealthy power hungry individuals that want the free ride that we somehow have been duped into giving polititians..until that sort of thing stops we will continue on this horrible path
Doc
They already made that mistake with alcohol, I highly doubt they will do that again. Yeah but they never tried the idea of keeping alcohol legal and simply taxing it out of existance. They don't need to outlaw it .... they just use financial harrassment and discouragement. I kind of wonder how long it will take for these guys to apply it to booze once they realize how successful their policies involving mass behavior modification worked with cigarettes. It really is a technique that can be used on a lot of things. Perhaps we will see it applied with firearms someday.
WNYBuckHunter
It would most likely have the same or a similar effect, in that it would create a black market for it. Either way, its pretty scary stuff. Our freedoms just get chipped away at each day, sadly, most people dont even see it and wont until its too late. :-[
