Federal Fusion ammo

Anyone have any experience with Federal Fusion cartridges? I've been shooting Federal Premium Nosler Accubond 180 gr. rounds out of my Savage 110 .30-06 for about 6 or 7 years now with great luck. Tight groups and great knockdown power. However Federal no longer makes this type of ammunition. I did some research and found the 180 gr. Fusion ammo has very similar ballistics (for half the price). Thinking about picking up a box and giving them a try.

Does anyone have any field experience with these rounds?

I tried some a bit ago. Worked ok for the intended purpose. Your gun may (or may not) like them. Give 'em a try. What do you have to lose?

I use it in my deer rifle. Havent had any issues with it yet. Nice and accurate and I have yet to need any follow up shots. I use the 150 grain in .308

150gr 30-06 here.  works great with good accuracy and puts them down.

I have killed 2 deer with them and wasn't impressed at all. 270 130gn 60 yards broadside- no exit no blood 50yd recovery shot thru both lungs. 308 150gn 90yds quartering away no exit, found bullet in far shoulder 60yd recovery no blood.

I have 2 buddy's that swear buy them and they are successful but for me 2 strikes and they're not getting another chance.

Fusions are very accurate BUT they are not Noslers. I am shooting Fusions in a 30-06 my son will be using in PA.

I wouldn't be afraid to switch to the Fusions....Federal doesn't make trash.
