Pic of deer I took on 11/3/09

I killed this deer with my bow last season.  He had come in from behind me, walked right next to the tree my stand was in then moved off to my left.  He turned perfectly quartering away and I drilled him at about 15 yards.  He ran due west of me and then down the hill where I couldn't see.  The crest of the hill is about 80 yards away.  I waited 30 minutes then got down and checked out the spot where I shot him.  The blood indicated a perfect hit.  I decided to go ahead and follow the blood trial.  The flow was very heavy.  I found the deer lying just over the crest of the hill.  He's a nice little 8pt, 9 if you count the point on the base of the left antler. Unfortunately, you can't see the g3's in this pic.

I haven't checked the cam recently.  I'll have to make it a point to go look soon.
