Size guess

I think this is a small bear but not sure thought?

Looks about the size of one of the bears I've been seeing and I'm wondering the same.

The smaller they are the better they taste, and the easier they are to get out of the woods.  That one sure looks like a shooter to me.  I will guess 143 pounds live weight.

As long as alone during bow season...plenty big enough to shoot...

With a gun tho it have to be a big bear...for me tho.

Just remember we are in New York average female bear is 160's and male just over 200lbs. Not many bears shot 400 + . I would say a 2-3 yr old. 140 -150lbs

All true though Id say just a pinch smaller. They taste great n drag easier.  

To the op bears always look bigger alive. When they die the blood pressure leaves n the hair goes flat so they seem to "shrink". Also bears are very hard to judge size wise from a pic especially when people aren't famaliar w how big the areas trees n such are. If your getting multiple pics on him put something in the area, mark a tree, etc to judge his height n such with. Thatll help some
