growalot
6 years and no problem with the first cardboard blind...this year mice chewed up one wall over a window...then I go to put water in the new cardboard blind, "Rivers Blind", and what do I find 2 mice holes all the way out the back wall...So now ,while it's warm I have to do repairs...I was down silencing a ladder and fixing a built stand...adding straps as more back up......I have already gone through 4 boxes of poison...plus I have bait traps in all of them...they chewed a hole in the wooden blind as well...inside wall...You would think with all the dang acorns nearby they'd be busier out in the woods...I almost stomped the one in Rivers Blind...he was too fast..strange ,all of a sudden this year they get all aggressive on me. chas0218
I like those glue traps they seem to catch a lot of mice for me in our tower stands when they chew through the wood siding.
Taylormike
They are actually Deer Mice. Be careful with their droppings, they are known carrier of the haunta virus. If you have infestation and a lot of droppings spray down first. You want to avoid them becoming airborne, that's when it's dangerous. growalot
I Wore gloves and masks cleaning blinds . Then took a spray bottle with bleach water to spray and wipe all surfaces I may touch or they had left droppings across...What a PITA...That first 6 years of no problems spoiled me..Then I found seat I made from an old school chair...I used an old pillow and shower curtain to water proof cover it....8 years and not one problem.. go to ratchet up a loose side..seat is all chewed up...I hope I killed a bunch when I seriously plopped my fanny down on that cover a few times! Take that! Edited October 7, 2016 by growalot
