Gotta love kids

My 7yr old daughter has been shooting a kids long bow for a while but not consistently. Tonight, I explained gapping in simple terms, just put the arrow point below the deers front arm pit and shoot.  She proceeded to make kill shot after kill shot at 10yds. I was pretty shocked but stoked at the same time.  

We have a future hunter in the making.  Wish I knew how to post video.  It was cool.

Enjoy my friend . In two days I move our oldest to NYC, she'll be working at NY Presbyterian while her BF finishes Med school .

Seems like yesterday I was pushing her on the tire swing ....

Yes hard to let them fly..but when you see them soaring....that's a beautiful thing!

Last Saturday, I took my daughter to camp practice with her crossbow. I just stood back and smiled watching her. Later that night, she was crowned homecoming queen! They can be daddy's girl, hunters, AND "girly-girls"! LOL

There are moments when your kids do something, that warms your heart. And you just know, you will never forget that moment. And if you are lucky, you will have many such moments. You, my friend, are a lucky man.

The best was after many kill shots, she asks "so how am I doing?"   Uh, pretty darn good!  Lol.  Then she just skips away to play with the cat.  No biggie.
