growalot
I only had cards in2 cams so I went out to replace ,grab cards and take Angel for a much needed walk...Hey her nose went up and from 250 yards out she lead me right to where I gutted my cross bow buck....Not bad...just a bit of green matter left. BTW who's checking gut info? Mostly green field and a bit of red apple in both deer. Anyways...I got this one at the goat barn...Does that look like a wound on his shoulder? I think it might be one of the little bucks that I had come to my ladder rungs back in late bow...The 5 point I think..not quite sure. Must not be too bad if he's out feeding. growalot
I blew it up ,before making it smaller to post...I really was questioning it...but now it sorta does look like plant head...I hope so. Thus far I haven't found anything dead on the property..but after season Angel and I will be out checking...she has a pretty good nose....Usually the swamp delivers up at least one buck a year...the nice 7 pt last year. Buckstopshere
Here's a wound. I think the doe dropped and an arrow just plowed a furrow through her fur. Their reflexes are incredible.

LET EM GROW
Heres a buck one of my neighbors hit with crossbow, last week of archery.Entry in the neck and exit behind shoulder of same side.. What a horrible angle to take a shot IMO, It must have been near straight on and neck turned to the left.. My fellow neighbor put him down Friday evening. Full of puss and gangrene. NFA-ADK
This is why I prefer a good quartering away or broadside shot. Some can't wait for that deer to pass and must take a shot as they come in. Patience is a virtue!
