Buckstopshere
Put together a little survivor vid-clip of a broken horn scrub buck backing down an 8 pt. on Tuesday 12.27.16. A 7 pt. came in earlier and didn't want anything to do with 8 pt. as they munched acorns. The scrub buck had the high-ground. No wonder his rack is so broken up with that kind of attitude. And I think they get more a$$ too. And sometimes dominate breeding hierarchies. But I am from Allegany County.
Poppy
He may be a "junkyard buck" but that old Roman nose tells me he has been around for a while. Can't say for sure but I will bet he is an older buck on his way down as far as antlers go. GREAT VIDEO!!

Pulled my first bow-killed buck out of the woods with a Roman-nosed pinto named Sonny. More work getting him through the thick stuff with the buck than it was worth. Bad idea. Never tried it again. cnymuzguy
What kind of bait do you use to suck them in like that? They are definitely looking for something under those leaves.

Buckstopshere
Looking at the photos again...that 8 point was no stranger to fights as it's left brow tine and tip of the left beam are both broken.
