landtracdeerhunter Posted February 7, 2017 Share Posted February 7, 2017 Some of our young beech are marcescence trees. Deer bed around these quite often. I believe their is some nutritional value when the leaves come down. They also visit the larger maple trees, bedding in their leaf drop on the forest floor.
