Prescription eye glasses

Prescription eye glasses at Wal_mart . I had my eyes tested at Whelpley & Paul . I don't care for any of their frames . Looked at frames at Pearl Vision and they seemed way over priced . Also checked out BJ's Wholesale and nada .

I found at least 3 frames that I liked and felt comfortable trying on at a reasonable price at Wal-Mart . Has anyone ever bought prescription eye glasses at Wal-Mart and were you satisfied with your purchase ?

If you are a Wal-Mart hater , please don't respond to this !

OMG fasteddie, thought at our age being a fashionista wasn't necessary. Kidding!

Have worn glasses for almost 60yrs and I've tried them all. From my experience I've found the cheaper the frames are, the more likely you are to have issues with them. Not to say $300 frames from W&P/Reed are 3X better than the Walmart $100 ones.

At least for me I'm more concerned with having a reputable optometrist examine my eyes and give me an accurate lens prescription than what the glasses (frames) look like. Over the years I've encountered issues with lens prescriptions done by the cheapo eyeglass houses (Sears, WalMart, Sterling, Pearl, etc). This is maybe the only expenditure I don't scrimp on!

LASIK and never have to decide again! I haven't worn glasses in almost 8 years now but I used to get frames from the eye place inside walmart. I usually wore contacts 99.9% of the time anyways so the glasses were just backup. I wouldn't take my contacts out until they fell out so my eye doc kept complaining that I was gonna ruin my eyes if I kept them in for so long and strongly suggested lasik. Idk what her problem was, my contacts felt better after being in for a month or so. And I know one year they stayed in from the day I left her office to the day I came back a year later for my yearly exam. Shoulda seen the look on her face when she asked when was the last time I took my contacts out hahaha.

I had the Eye Exam done at Whelpley & Paul but need a further exam with equipment that W & P do not have . The optometrist suggested going to Cornerstone Eye Associates to have this done . As for frames , I don't like the glasses with the little tabs that fit on the side of the nose . I would rather have the formed piece that fits over the nose .

I have had a prescription for bi-focals and hardly ever wore those glasses . i can see fine at distances but have been prescribed lens for that . I might buy frames at Wal-Mart  and get the lenses at W&P .

Thanks for the responses .

I might buy frames at Wal-Mart  and get the lenses at W&P . Might want to check and see if this is even possible.
