turkeyfeathers
How old is she ? Our daughter ( 14) auditioned for a 5 week ballet summer program 5 hours away but sadly did or didn't get in depending on how you look at it. Chaperones ? Google the heck out of it. Sadly our kids will be on their own someday but it's difficult to let go as a parent I feel your quandary regardless of how old she might be. ELMER J. FUDD
Go for it. Support her if you can. It's a good resume builder for college. Might even lead to a scholarship one day.

We have been all over the east coast for tournies, Florida to Conn. and parts of the mid west. But Half way around the world caught me off gaurd. Im sure its well Chaperoned.. Just begining to look into all the details. I think Australia is reasonably safe but this is just way bigger then what i mentally planned for. Buckmaster7600
My brother in law got selected for something very similar for wrestling. From what he has said it was the time of his life. It was 10 years ago and he still talks about it regularly.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

rob-c
my youngest (he's 20 and just a super responsible young man) just went to Haiti for relief work over spring break. it was the best experience he has ever had, he plans on going back next year. from what you describe your daughter sounds like a responsible young lady with all she has going on in her life now, let her go dad she will remember it the rest of life.
Elmo
Wise man once said, most people towards the end of their lives don't regret as much about the things they did but mainly about the things they didn't do. Don't deny her once in life time opportunity.
