Big year for black-caps

It looks like a bumper crop for blackberries this year, judging from all of the little clusters of berry-buds (whatever you call them). I put in a new berry patch year before last, and they are going crazy this year. The wild ones are producing like mad too.

My favorite wild berry patch was plowed and flattened a couple of years ago. It'll be a housing development soon. :-(
