Fletch
I'm not sure if anyplace in NY does not have ticks anymore. I as well as some above never remember seeing a tick until 8-10 years ago. Now they are terrible. I just check myself well every day pretty much. I have gotten bit a couple times and I am positive not from ticks I carried in but the dog did. She wears the Sorento collar and has had Lyme and tested positive again last week.

Paula
I now get tested once every 6 months. They will not give me doxxy unless I need it. I am surprised every on here that gets it without a blood test
Meat First
Back in January I picked something I thought might have been a tick out if my side. Now in the middle of winter I wasn't thinking tick. But ever since then I have been achy in all my joints but I chalked it up to turning 50. Fast foward to May and my dog was diagnosed with Lymes. Last week had myself tested and I do not have Lymes but they said I HAD RMSF but do not have it any longer?? Strange but I took the doxy just to be safe and after one day I feel better then I have for six months.
