Curmudgeon
Ever screw up and feel embarrassed? Probably not this bad. I have no idea what happened. Maybe that microburst last month. I was just driving through Guilford and saw this. That's a skid steer underneath. It was a big structure. Maybe 50 feet wide.

philoshop
I rode one like that right to the ground in 1979 in Louisiana. It was a KFC of all things. It turns out the framing crew they had hired didn't know how to do roofs. (imagine that) Turns out they didn't know how to do walls correctly either. Nobody was hurt, thankfully, but nobody was happy either. When the crew I was with (8 of us as I recall) arrived on site the first thing everyone commented on was the lack of proper bracing, especially diagonal bracing, but the general contractor wouldn't listen and simply said, "You're here to build the roof." We built a beautiful roof on most of it before the walls collapsed under us. The roof 'corkscrewed' almost 90 degrees on it's way down. The exterior plywood sheathing on the wall framing turns that flimsy framing into a rigid structural assembly that supports the roof. They hadn't even ordered the plywood yet. Being stupid gets other people killed.
