I've read his writing for many many years and watched him on Bowhunter TV for a good number of years...........He really is the real deal.

He's always shot traditional gear and the show I'm watching now (DVR from earlier today) I see him shooting with the arrow held back by a hunk of cloth, bit with his teeth!  Seems he had torn a tendon in his shoulder and didn't get it taken care of by a DR, he just wanted (hoped) it would heal on its own and it didn't. 

It just started so I don't know if he'll score on a bull elk or not.

Larry was (is) a big deal in the northwest where I grew up. He was one of the first to make elk calls and understand their vocalization.  Ithink heeven made and sold cassette tapes that taught you how to call. Yep - he has always been a trad guy. Love watching his stuff.

I was always a Roger ragglin fan back in early 90's, guy was amazing and revolutionary. This makes we wanna get all his vhs tapes out of the basement and have a ragglin marathon.

Larry D Jones spoke at one of the dinners held by the Hunters of the Almighty in Rochester several years ago . He didn't impress me . His talk was about hunting and calling Elk and came across as pompous . oh , and he didn't like Chuck Adams  .........
