Shot placement on a bear

Most of the bears I track are shot by deer hunters who just happen to have a bear walk by As they're on watch. Some know the shot placement is not the same for both animals, some don't. This is is a very informative and interesting article on the subject.

Since my understanding is that ‘middle of the middle’ is where you hit a bear, I remember ‘B is for bear; B is for bullseye’. A little silly I guess but i think I’ll still remember it when I am stupid with Bruin Fever watching the bear skin rug of my dreams walk past the stand.
