Trosel glads on doe

I forget if that’s what there call but the two glads on the inside of the back legs. I always thought when they where dark brown/black the doe didn’t breed yet. After breeding she cleans them to a cream/white ? Does anyone know what the deal is with them?

i saw a few does the other day with brown/black wondering if they went into estrus yet.

I always thought the older a deer gets the darker they get fawn have white old deer are black

I have cut them off two does a few years ago. I read and thought they could be a lures.

They are black when in estrous and are kicked clean soon after breeding. Buck will turn black as well and can be black am the way to their hooves if they are a dominant breeder.. They do make excellent attractants if gathered 3 miles or more from where you will hunt as deer will come to see who the new deer is.

I’ve use them before. The few does I’ve seen on my property have dark glands so I’m wondering if they came into estrus yet. I remember reading they lick them clean after being bred.

The doe i shot today was as stanky as the buck. I saved both animals glands for next year...

I always cut them off and hang them around where I sit. Have had a ton of bucks walk up to them.
