NY's tax oppression is the cause of it's demise, but lies about it.

No matter how you look at it, NY is to blame for it's reduced tax revenue.  But far be it from any tax and spend leftist to admit it and work on fixing the problem.  Instead, they yell "FORWARD" as the drive it off a cliff.

Many other individuals, families and businesses are fleeing the state as well — ones who don't remotely qualify as the hated '1 percent' — and they're taking their income and tax revenues with them. How bad is it? Between 1997 and 2016, every dollar of income that left New York was replaced by only 71 cents coming in. No state can sustain that if it hopes to grow. What states need to do, in short, is stop meddling. Rather than pick winners and losers (which would be a mistake even if it were qualified to do so), it should create a low-tax, low-regulation environment where all businesses, big and small, can compete fairly for its share of the economic pie. No one can blame Mr. de Blasio for lamenting the jobs that won't be created as a result of Amazon spurning New York City's offer. But this isn't 'an example of an abuse of corporate power,' as Mr. de Blasio called it. It's the inevitable result of a bad business environment. And it certainly shows the folly of relying on crony capitalism to attract companies to your playing field."

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) Doesn't Want Them 
Remington, one of the world’s largest gun manufacturers, will on Monday join Gov. Robert Bentley (R) to announce they are bringing over 2,000 jobs to Alabama.
Most of the jobs will be relocated from their Ilion, NY plant, and the initial investment in Alabama will be $87 million.
Founded in 1816 in upstate New York, the company is one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating manufacturers. Remington is the only U.S. manufacturer of both firearms and ammunition products and one of the largest domestic producers of shotguns and rifles.
Remington first began considering new locations after the New York legislature passed the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act in response to the tragic shootings in Newtown, Conn. It broadened the definition of so-called “assault weapons” to include a wide range of guns, including the Bushmaster, which was being manufactured at Remington’s New York plant.
A month ago Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) said “extreme conservatives” who are “right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay,” have “no place in the state of New York.”
Gov. Bentley responded “In Alabama we strongly support and uphold our great U.S. Constitution on which our nation and our states were founded. 
“The Constitution serves to protect individual freedoms. Among them are those guaranteed in the Second Amendment, which protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. We will protect the freedoms of individuals and welcome any one or any company to Alabama to discover as so many have, that we are a pro-business state filled with good, hardworking people.
“If Gov. Cuomo doesn’t want hard working pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment people in his state, we will gladly take them here in Alabama.”

Wife’s  nephew,who has a successful law practice here, is moving to Texas .

They feel better opportunities for them and their kids ( they got a bunch .) 

He’s a gun guy, Republican And is just feed up with NYS .

We’ll be visiting my Nephew  in Tenn this June he has a very successful company there .He moved there  after college for better opportunities , he found them . Good fiends of ours  just bought a lot there ,and we’ll be looking around too I guess .
