Early goose fast approaching

Early goose is coming up fast. I'm thinking of trying a new location the first weekend but its hard to see how many birds are around when I live a hour and a half away. Anyone from the thousand islands area seeing any birds?

There Is a late goose season for some of the state that is running about now.

A special snow geese season runs from March 11, 2012- April 15, 2012 for much of the state. Seen a few over the weekend.

Actually those dates are not correct for most of it.

Season started Jan. 29th for western NY. Haven't heard any shooting. Thanks for the correction.

Also, the DEC has not announced the new season dates for this coming (2012-2013) season yet. Barring any changes, as has been said, it should be sometime in September.
