I'm going to be 16 september 29th. I was wondering when I go down to my sports store that day or a few days after. I was wondering what is the most amount of tags I can get. I have my rifle and bow hunting class certificates.

Depends on the hunter and what hunting stage he's or she is in. New hunters start out killing everything they see. As we get older our hunting stage's change. I'm a little more selective about what I shoot now, use to be brown it's down. I have older friends who hunt everyday and havent shot a deer in yrs with a weapon and mostly go out with a video camera and enjoy the experiance. So it depends on the hunter, So Forest Hunter you kill and fill everytag and post pics on here of everyone of them and get these bitter old coots all riled up. Because only warm gut piles fill the freezer not the experience. And I think with bow and gun with all the tags depending on howmany doe tags you get it should be 3 or 4. So good luck and enjoy filling them all out. You have plenty of time to be misserable with the rest of us passing up small deer and enjoying the experiance.

You'll get your regular season buck tag, then an either sex bow tag. If you're in an area with DMP's, you can get 1 or 2 doe tags also. Fill those tags and fill that freezer!! I have non-hunting friends, landowners, and family that like venison as much as I do, so I try to give them some each year also. My freezer and shelf for canned venison has been empty now for 2-3 months, so it's time to re-stock!

To answer the question, you would get the Super Sportsman license. Then, apply for your doe permits. As long as you get both DMPs, that will give you 5 deer tags (reg season buck, 1bow/ML either sex, 1 bow/ml doe, 2 DMPs), 1 bear tag, 2 fall turkey, 2 spring turkey.

I don't hunt for the killing. Last year was my first year and that was pretty much my idea of hunting. Now sitting there all day and having feel like it's only been a few minutes is one of the best parts of hunting.

I also know what is around now since I bought my camera and have seen plenty of bucks. Since I know what's around I know I'm gonna be passing plenty of deer.
