Squirrel shot size

Thinking I'm going out tomorrow to check the lease out. Thinking I'm taking my 12ga with me for some squirrels. Hows size 4 for them, I've got alot and figured I'd use some up.

I always use 4's with my 410.

Number 4s kill squirrels just fine,  but they drag too much hair in to the shot wound for my taste...

Number 7 1/2s kill squirrels just fine, but they put too many pellets into the eating meat...

I have settled on number 6 shot as the best compromise...My favorite loads are 7/8  oz in a 20 gauge, and 1 oz. in a 16 or 12 gauge...No need for high brass or magnum loads for squirrels..
