Bow Tuning Guide

Ok Moog, I got my bow back and apparently the timing was off. I paper shot it just to check it myself and I am getting a slight right tear no matter what I do with my grip. I assume I have some kind of flaw with my form. Anyway I tried walk back tuning with BH and FP and the Bh are hitting 1" to left at 20 yds and Fp hit 1" to right. If I move the sight to correct the BH won't it just make the FP hit further to the right? FYI, I shot at 30 yds also and had almost the same results. Personally I think I can live with this as the bow is shooting good and I can adjust for BH and be ready for the season.

Normally when BH hit left of FP, you would move the rest just a touch to the right.  That said, if you are only an inch apart at 30yds, and assuming you don't plan to shoot further than that at deer, it's probably good enough to hunt. Your call whether you want to tinker more.  If not, get it sighted in and go hunt.  Good luck Taco.

This is a great guide for tuning. I have a matthews drenalin and I'm curious where to get it tuned. This seems a bit complicated for me but I do see the benefits of it I just don't really have the time. What is the best place to get matthews drenalin bowstrings? I have tried a few local guys and i keep having to replace them after a few hundred shots...

Why are you replacing them so often? You should get thousands of shots out of a string/cables

Moog, it is actually 2" apart, BH are 1 to left of string, FP are 1 to right. But I was trying to figure out if I move the rest to the right to bring it to the string won't that just make the FP hit further to the right. I don't see how I can get both to hit the same?

Generally BHs react more to an adjustment to center shot than FP.  Mark where rest is now (pencil or by photo) and then move rest 1/16" right.  See what happens.  You can always go back to the current position if it gets worse or move it more rt if the BH and FP are getting closer together. If you can get then to hit together, you may need to adjust the windage on your sight but don't do it until they are together.

Took my bow out for the first time yesterday. Been busy. At first my shots were grouping OK, but inches off to the left. I almost went in for my hex keys. Decided to spend some time on my form first and really get back to grips with the set-up and being in a comfortable stance. After about 4 rounds of arrows , they all started grouping back in the center of the target. Sometimes its the fiddler and not the fiddle
