My first canning

Speeking of canning....Years ago on 1 of my hockey teams 1 of the guys was Greek and I would hear him on the way into the shower asking the guy in front of him " have you ever had Greek sausage in a can?" Still makes me laugh!

I've never canned anything myself but my dad and his siblings grew up on canned everything. He was 1 of 8 with 6 of them boys so they had to. Had crazy amounts of veggies and stuff canned. Even now my grandfather had a room setup to do it and another to store it.

Someday I'll get into it and have a garden again. Moving to the new house it's taken a bit to get settled while working on everything and tearing up the landscape.

Never heard of canned chicken. Good idea. Tried venison during field to fork and it was good.
