burmjohn
Why do the Holidays always bring out family drama? Who is going where, who is staying where and how long. Blah. Plans have been set for MONTHS and things always change the last second. I'm taking the high road on this one... I just want to eat some freaking Turkey! Doewhacker
Thats why when your kids get a little older you will be staying home on Thanksgiving and other holidays..its just easier and there is more leftovers that way. lol Beleive me I can relate to family bs, well my inlaws anyhow. Doewhacker
Nice! I love turkey, and I really love making Kentucky Hot Browns the day after, thats a sandwhich not a crude potty joke. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bobby-flay/kentucky-hot-browns-recipe2/index.html
burmjohn
Nice looks good! My old man actually just picked up the turkey from Catskills farm. Its 16.5 pounds not 18... Either way its going to be getting injected with deliciousness and fried up. This is my 3rd year frying a turkey, and its amazing.

Deerthug
Why do the Holidays always bring out family drama? Who is going where, who is staying where and how long. Blah. Plans have been set for MONTHS and things always change the last second. I'm taking the high road on this one... I just want to eat some freaking Turkey! I hear you John. I'm in the same boat. We had plans set a month ago to head up to the cabin for Thanksgiving and also do some hunting. Well . . . last minute all has changed. My brother in law (who owns the house we go to upstate), his kids (27 & 24 y.o) didn't want to go because one has to work the next day and the other has a High School reunion. My parents were supposed to go to my brother's house but last minute my brother and his wife and kids decided to go elsewhere. So my parents were left out along with my dad's brother and his son. So we offered to cook at my house for my parents, my uncle and cousin. Well it turns out my uncle and cousin decide to go to his brother in law's house leaving my parents alone again. So then my brother in law decides to have thanksgiving at his house on LI and invited my parents along. Oy vey! What a hassle. I just want to eat turkey too!
