Copying old photo questions

Recommended Posts

So my grandfather passed away about 8 yrs ago and my grandmother just passed. Well my dad found a large box of WWll pics he didn’t know about, my grandfather was in the army and was commissioned to photograph the war and he has a ton of black & white photos of Germany, many post destruction, really cool to look at. Anyways is it easy to copy black and white photos? Can I just go to say Walgreens or Walmart? Any guidance would be appreciated!

OMG.  What a time capsule.  I'd love to see those pics.

I'd be very careful in choosing a company to copy or put on a disk.   My cousin had a horrible experience, and most of his pics were destroyed.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother passing.

What a generation to be apart of.  Thanks for your families service.

I go to a local photo place to scan stuff; even used their touch up service to fix a few damaged pics.

Give it a name, apply human sentiment, and its no longer a wild animal its a Disney character.

If you have a Flat Bed Scanner , you could scan them and then copy them to a disc . It's quite easy .
