New camo burlap - wash?

Just put up some burlap around my ground blind. Fresh out of the package and stinks like chemicals. I can smell it on my hand. 

Should I launder first?                                         Hang it outside away from the stand and then install?
Screw it and just leave it up?

Thanks. I couldn't take the smell anymore, so the minute after I posted I pulled it all down and hung it by one of my bunkies.

Even the thinner leaf cut camo material has an odor straight out of the package. I've tried washing it before in scent-free laundry soap and it seems to help. Be warned - washing these camo materials seems to take a lot of the "stiffness" out of the material and makes it a little more fragile, even using a gentle wash cycle.

They do stink. I have 3 of them hanging over my fence as we speak. I am getting sick of picking them up cause the wind keeps blowing them off...

I’m giving it a week draped over an old wood pile, then it goes back up.
