Deer hunting near Marcy?

Just got word I’m going to be going to the new cree chip plant in Marcy. Please someone tell me there is some good land to hunt around there? I knew it was coming that I was going to have to go but was hoping for December not October.

Your going to be right near the north south border there.  North of there quite a bit of state land.  Gonna be tough to get any private land this late.

Steuben area is good not too far north of Marcy. Tassel Hill near Waterville and of course Brookfield.

brookfield def has some state land tracts there. 

I used to hunt some in the west leydon area which is northern tier.  It was a mohawk (something?) state land off 26 north of Rome - small area of stateland but lots of sign there.  But also a long time ago.

Woodford SF on Rt 20 between Bridgewater and Sangerfield. There's decent agriculture nearby.

Charles Baker SF in Brookfield. 9,000 acres! There's some rough country in the interior that hold nice deer. Horse trails make easy access though. Good luck!
