Does scent thief work?

Have anyone here used Scent Thief when deer hunting? According to their ads, you want deer to smell it, and when they do, their sense of smell gets paralyzed and they can't smell anything temporarily. Does it actually work tho?

Based only on what you said I think the theory is relatively sound. E.g. you can't smell a faint mint smell if your nose is over a can of open gasoline, but I imagine in practice, like with most products like this, it's impossible to really measure objectively and likely not very useful.

That’s what i thought also. To that end, I also question the effectiveness of estrus...I have had a wick hanging and watched a buck walk within 15 yards of it and turn once I swore he caught a whiff.

If it does this to all animals, what does it do to the human animal that is applying it? Something smells fishy here!
