i have to watch it when i get home. the video doesn't play well at my work computer, so i will have to check it out in a bit. From what i saw it looks great tho. Mike i think you mentioned that John was hunting not to far from you, did you do the video yourself while in the tree?

Mike, Congrats on an awesome buck!!!! Great job on the video too. It was done with class and the way you captured your excitement made me feel like I was part of the hunt in the tree next to you. Better than any of those "canned hunt" videos that you see on Outdoor Channel with the "big TV pros". Again man way to go!!!!!!! Rich

Thanks for all the great comments guys. I have shot a lot of deer over the years but except for my first deer kill where I ran full speed about a mile and a half back to the house to tell my dad, none got me as excited as this one did. Best part about it is that I get to share it with all of you guys.

Geno C, to answer your question, I filmed all that myself with my camera arm. I wish I got the shot better but didn’t want to risk moving the camera and risk spooking the deer.

It really gets me pumped when someone says they feel like they were part of the hunt. Filming hunts isn’t as easy as most people think and sometimes it gets frustrating and you wonder if it’s worth all the time and effort. Comments like the one RichZ7 posted really give me the motivation to keep going.
