Anybody ditch cable?

I have cable and the prices keep going up through the roof for basic and just the outdoor channel year round and HBO (for True Blood) in the summer. They don't give any promotions to long time customers anymore.

Over 150 channels and we don't even watch a fraction of them. The kids watch Nickleodeon, and the like. I watch outdoor channel, storage wars, american pickers and Big Bang Theory and the news occasionally (just too depressing), as well as baseball and football games. The wife watches American Idol and hallmark channel or retro channel. The rest are all a waste.

FiOS here, can't pass up the speed i get, never going back to cable. While its not cheap, it was cheaper then what I was paying for cable. Plus the ondemand is great for the kid once she starts watching those kids shows.

I hate when I have to call Cablevision. that damn automated computer voice. "to make a payment...(then the volume and speed increases and it says).. PRESS ONE!" You guys should call to see what I mean. it's like those annoying dorks at the fast food joint that are way more into "your burger" than you are. Almost a wise ass tone. Basically I agree with that guy Jakthebomb on youtube.

I'm definitely ready to ditch cable. those new directtv commercials are hilarious!

We live to far out for kable, Here in the stix we have a sat light disch. Actuchilly we have tue. One fer local channels tu.

Well we went out and got a Boxee and so far its a hit. We are streaming netflix through it on top of the already free content we can find and I will most likely end up buying the NHL package deal so I can watch any one of 1200 games a year. Bye bye Timewarner bill....

Oh and thus far image quality is great, better than expected honestly.
