Just watched the dec live question and answer on. The new management plan.  The holliday deer hunt is past the point to allow it to take place this year. They are reviewing the thousands of commets recieved still. But it is still part of their management goal in future... so it is a NO GO FOR 2020-2021 SEASON , but may happen for 21-22 season...

I just couldn't see it taking place this year, too little too late. There would have been a ton of confusion around it. In my opinion, it's smarter to wait until next year and get it in the 21-22 regulation book.

Well that works out.....I need a break from not seeing deer anyway. Gonna toss my hat in the ring and try some late season goose!

I'm still not sure how i feel about the extended season. I'm sort of in the middle, but kinda feel bad for the deer. NY already has one of the longest gun seasons in the country.

 I love hunting the late season, but it wouldnt apply to where I am. What would be cool is if it applied to unused ML tags where I am
