Chevy Avalanche?

Anyone ever own one? I found one that has a little higher mileage but southern PA truck and the price is right in my range.   I know not everyone likes them for there looks but I carry more kids than cargo so I don't need a normal pickup. Just one to haul the average homeowner stuff.

I got rid of my f150 6 months ago and I realize I can use a truck much more then I realized. So I decided to get a decent older used one that I might drive 5-10k miles a year on. Keep for a couple years before I can afford a newer one.

Just wanted opinions from former owners of the truck if someone had one.

I have a Colorado and even though it's smaller than a Silverado it does the trick. It would be nice to have more interior room but as long as the bed is suitable for what you need and you can fit a nice buck in it you're fine. I know a couple of guys who have them and I break their chops, but they are happy with them

They are a good truck if ya get one with the 5.3 in it for a motor the only downfall is the beds like to rust out in them make sure u check the rear frame rails to if u are looking at one

It's a southern PA truck so the rust isn't bad underneath.  I was doing pull-ups on all the cross members and sections of the frame while I was underneath it and it was all very solid.  That's why it's in my driveway now.

Congrats. I also own an Avalanche with the 5.3. I like the way the suspension rides.
