JGaruti3
PSE Nova NI with 70 pound draw. Shot at the range yesterday for about an hour. This thing has some power. At twenty yards the arrow has almost a flat trajectory. I got the 70 lb draw because I would have had to wait another two weeks to get in the 60 but the guy at the range told me he could lower it for me if I wanted. But I had no problem drawing it so I think I am going to stick with the 70 lb. Also got a 3 pin Apex sight that glows...pretty cool. Got a nice trigger release, peep sight, kisser, kwikee quiver, and a pretty cool arrow rest. The arrow rest keeps the arrow in place if you are in to still hunting. Overall I am very happy with the bow...now I just need a lot more practice, some broadheads, and for October to come. What broadheads do you guys use? WNYBuckHunter
Nice! Congrats on the new bow! You may want to lower the draw weight because the easier it is to draw, the less movement it requires to draw, which is important in a hunting situation. I have lowered my poundage down below 60lbs for that exact reason. Its all personal choice though. I shoot Rage 2s, Crimson Talon XTs and this year will be shooting Grizz-Tricks. Broadheads are a matter of personal preference as well.
Paulie
I shoot Spitfire's...went to mechncial's about three years ago because I figired there was less Broadhead to catch a branch....that was until last year when I missed a nice 10 pointer cause i shot the branch instead....I am thinking about going back to the ole Thunderheads. Also, think about decreasing the poundage in case you have to hold at full draw for a minute or two.....I shoot 70lbs as well and have no problem pulling straight back easily, but when you have to hold for a minute it sucks.... Fantail
Sounds like your happy and that's what counts. ;D I use Muzzys, MX-3's are chizle point and the Phantoms are cut on contact, both fixed blade and seemed to tune well. What arrows did you buy with it?
